This course focuses on the cost of higher education and walks parents and their students through an exercise that will help you to consider the long-term impact and opportunity costs associated with your different options. This course is perfect for families that are comparing University options or options between different higher education tracks.
You will accomplish the following with the completion of this course:
- Understand the different costs of higher education
- Understand financial aid and payment options
- Learn how much debt you are likely to take on given your educational track (college choice)
- Know the long-term financial impact of your college selection
- Strategize financial next steps and potential alternative financial plans to reduce debt and increase the potential for long-term financial success
Please note that you will be emailed a worksheet in advance that will require some research based on the colleges and universities that your student is considering. If your student has not yet identified specific colleges of interest, you will be able to use example campuses for this course.
